Abstract

In the editorial work with Fokus på familien, we have often been impressed from the width and the quality in the articles that have been sent to us for publishing in the journal. Many of the journal’s articles have been read, both by professionals and by students, and have thereby made contributions to the development of the profession. Many authors have also told us about how writing their articles has contributed to their own learning.

But at least equally frequently, we have experienced that colleagues have contacted us, having interesting ideas of possible articles – without coming back with manuscripts. Somewhere, the process has stopped. A potentially exciting text, that could have vitalized Nordic colleagues’ professional knowledge, as well as the author’s own, has remained unwritten.

In this workshop, we will highlight the author’s responsibility for the yet unwritten text. We want to meet colleagues with writing projects in different stages – from reflections and ideas to the almost ready article. We will try to highlight the correspondence between form and content. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own ideas and projects. We have also prepared a practical writing exercise, that we hope will be inspiring.
