Abstract

EFT – Emotional Focused Therapy

The Family Counselling Office in Otta has in the past two years worked with a pilot study: “Use of EFT to reduce conflicts between parents”.

We have used the first phase of EFT- steps 1-4 in this work. 14 parents have participated in the study so far. They have met once a week for four weeks. We have been taken videos of all the sessions, and have measured the conflict level week by week on a conflict scale.

We are now working with the analyzes of the material. A central part of this is to watch the videos and analyze what we do in the sessions. A main focus is to watch the videos through EFT glasses and to reflect upon which adjustment seems to be necessary to do when we use the model in this context.

In the workshop we will present our reflections of our work. We will present our thoughts of an adjusted model and say something about which interventions and techniques that seems to be useful in the work with this group.
